AHRD – AHMEDABAD : Academy of Human Resources Development (AHRD) specializes in human resources development for organisations of all forms, types and sizes. The academy was founded in the year 1990 with the active support and guidance of some of the professors of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and now initiates various programs and activities to generate knowledge and disseminate the same to organisations to ensure that human resource management (HRM) becomes an integral part of a comprehensive management strategy. The academy’s programmes are meant for research students as well as for organisations, in the form of management development programmes.
AMA : Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) is involved in a range of educational, training and research activities to contribute to management education, the management profession and the society per se. The association was established under the inspiring guidance and leadership of late Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai and other professionals. It has more than 400 institutional members clubbed with more than 2500 professional manager members.
ERA : Executive Recruiters Association (ERA) is a nonprofit association, registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. The association represents Indian Executive Recruitment Consulting firms. The association works with the objective of promoting high ethical and promotional standards, help firms in building professionalism, broaden public understanding of the sector, represent the internet of the members on key public policy issues and provide a forum for members to get together and network.
GESIA : Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association. Established in the year 1996, erstwhile GEIA accommodated the software industry in the year 1997 to be rechristened as GESIA. This not for profit, industry led and industry managed association offers an effective platform for discussions on common concerns facing the industry as also for networking among industry members, professionals and government officials. It boasts of being the only State Level association for electronics, software and other IT related fields.
NASSCOM is the industry association for the IT-BPO sector in India. A not-for-profit organisaton funded by the industry, its objective is to build a growth led and sustainable technology and business services sector in the country.
Established in 1988, NASSCOM’s membership has grown over the years and currently stands at 1,200. These companies represent 95 percent of industry revenues and have enabled the association to spearhead initiatives and programs to build the sector in the country and globally.
NHRD – DELHI : After having successfully completed twenty five years of its existence in early December of 2011, the network still comes across as fresh and vibrant. National Human Resource Development Network, Delhi chapter has been known to be one of the most active regional chapters over a period of time. The beginning of the organisation was humble with a mere 60 members. However, this start was a stepping stone to a brighter future. The Delhi chapter today has more than 2000 members, 150 of which are permanent corporate members with the association.
SHRM : Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the largest network, worldwide, dedicated to human resource management. The association represents more than 250,000 members spread across 140 countries in the world. The association was founded in the year 1948 and has more than 575 affiliated chapters with the United States of America (USA) and subsidiary offices in India and China. The organisation is meant for individual members only and it already has HR professionals with different titles ranging from President and CEO level to a representative and administrator level. IMS is represented at this society through the individual membership of its board and senior staff members.
Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI)
The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry [GCCI] works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry and trade in Gujarat. GCCI was founded in 1949, by pioneers of industrial Gujarat Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai and Sheth Shri Amrutlal Hargovandas. GCCI aims at giving the whole policy making process a more holistic hue through intra and inter-industry discussions, industry-community parleys and industry government meetings. The Chamber aims at rendering effective services to its members.
